The Sanctuary

A garden sanctuary on the shores of Atitlán

Once Club Ven Acá — reimagined as a place to heal, gather, and reconnect.

Our story

A name that means “garden”

Villas del Carmen is named in honor of the property's original owner, whose vision for the space is being exalted and refined — in the spirit of the word's Arabic origin, meaning garden or orchard.

Previously known as Club Ven Acá, the property has undergone renovation, rebranding, and a re-awakening to the endless possibilities for deeply connected and transcendent experiences on the shore of the most beautiful lake in the world.

We are committed to crafting a space for healing, celebrating, honoring, growing, and creating — through the lens of community and change. Here, guests experience Guatemala and the richness of her people, history, and natural treasures with unparalleled amenities and comforts.

It is a place where all the senses are alert: the sights and scents of flowers and trees, the taste of fresh fruit, the soft touch of petals and the water that laps at the shore, the birdsong rising through the branches, and the murmur of wind through the leaves.

Stone garden path winding through the subtropical gardens

The garden

Fifteen years in the making

For more than fifteen years, the gardens of Villas del Carmen have been mindfully cultivated by Arturo Perez — a gifted and devoted Kaqchikel gardener who has made the property his living, earthen canvas.

Wander the stone paths and you'll find subtropical foliage, flowering color, and quiet corners that feel grown rather than designed — a garden that has become the soul of the place.
